Top 10 Universities in the United Kingdom in the QS World University Rankings 2021

  1. Bristol University is a public university in Bristol, England.

The University of Bristol is ranked ninth in the United Kingdom, but it has fallen nine positions in the global rankings this year, to 58th. The university receives high marks on all ranking indices, including academic credibility, where it is ranked 74th in the world.

2.King’s College London (KCL) is ranked seventh in the United Kingdom this year, climbing two positions in the global rankings to joint 31st. KCL is one of four London-based universities in the UK top ten, with excellent results across the board, particularly in academic prestige, where it ranks among the top 50 universities in the world.

3. Edinburgh University is a Scottish university situated in Scotland.

The University of Edinburgh, the only Scottish school in the UK top 10, is ranked fifth in the UK and remains the world’s 20th best university. It performs especially well in terms of academic credibility and employer reputation, ranking 25th and 31st in the nation, respectively.

 

4. Imperial College is a London-based institution

Imperial College London, the capital’s highest-ranked institution, receives the bronze medal in the United Kingdom. It climbs one spot to eighth place globally this year and ninth place globally for academic prestige.

 

5. Oxford University is a university in the United Kingdom.
The University of Oxford, which fell one spot in the global rankings to sixth, takes first place in the UK this year. Oxford is the top-ranking school in the UK for staff-student ratio (eighth place) and citations per faculty, with good scores in all metrics (44th place).

6. Cambridge University is a university in the United Kingdom.
The University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge are fighting for the first spot in the UK rankings, as is customary. Cambridge is in second place once more, with a global ranking of seventh. Cambridge, on the other hand, is the top-rated institution in the UK with both academic and employer prestige, ranking second internationally in both categories.

7. University College London is a university in London, England (UCL)
UCL (University College London), which fell two positions in the global rankings this year to 10th, is only missing out on a slot in the UK top three. The best ranking is in the academic prestige indicator, where it is ranked 13th worldwide.
